The mission of the rehabilitation-educational center is in elaboration and realization of Christian educational projects and rendering of complex physical, social-psychological and spiritual help to differently abled people, irrespective of denomination.

The total area of the rehabilitation-educational centre constitutes 2092 m². The rehabilitation-educational center consists of: classrooms and workshops, sports halls, the Home Church,a conference hall, an office block, a cloakroom, a sauna with a swimming pool, shower baths, massage rooms, two medical consulting rooms and rooms of hotel type for guests. All these rooms without exception (both main and additional), including also saunas, shower baths, the entrance to the building etc., are designed according to special requirements for differently abled people.

The rehabilitation centre is planned to service from 70 up to 100 people per day.

The activity of the Home Church community of the rehabilitation-educational centre will be oriented to social service.

The given project is planned to be completed in several stages. At the first stage the construction of the rehabilitation-educational center is carried out. The first stage began in 1999, the completion of the construction is planned in 2003. In 2004 the equipment of the Home Church and the conference-hall, of the office-block, workshops and study rooms will be finished. After that the equipment of sports halls, saunas, showers, medical consulting rooms will be completed.

Alongside with the construction of the rehabilitation centre it is planned to create the concept of the spiritual-moral help to differently abled people, irrespective of denomination, to implement into practice the best existing home and foreign programs of physical rehabilitation (independently and in cooperation with state and non-state, first of all Christian, establishments and organizations, dealing with similar activity), to adapt Western programs of social-psychological rehabilitation for differently abled persons, taking into account psychological peculiarities of the population of Belarus, and in coordination with programs of spiritual-moral education and help, to organize training courses and receiving of secondary special and higher education by differently abled persons.

At present the first stage of the realization of the rehabilitation-educational centre construction is being carried out. The land, assigned for construction, is situated in an ecologically clean district in the center of the city, not far from a large park-zone with convenient transport approaches and near the main traffic routes.

We received necessary agreements from the authorities of the city on assignment of the land for construction of the rehabilitation-educational center. The development of the design documentation necessary for construction of the rehabilitation-educational Centre is in the stage of completion.

The Christian Educational Centre is an Orthodox-Christian organization with wide experience of inter-faith collaboration and capable of organizing successful work of the rehabilitation-educational Centre with consideration of the interests of persons from different confessions, with Orthodox and representatives from other denominations and for secular people as well. This approach completely corresponds to ancient traditions of social service of the Church, according to the Evangelical Parable about the Good Samaritan.

Starting with 2004 in case of adequate financing of the given project the Christian rehabilitation-educational Centre can function as a model for replication of similar Centres in other post-communist regions.
