The Christian Educational Centre consulting service of psychological help works at the first student Church in the Republic of Belarus, at the Theological Faculty of EHU. Besides psychological help, people can also receive help of a priest-chaplain.
Psychological help offers the following services:
- Stress-management training
- Time-management training
- Help in solving of confusing spiritual problems
- Help in settling of conflict situations in families
- Advice on treatment of insomnia, increased anxiety, depression etc.
All the staff of the consulting service of psychological help are Christians.
The psychological help service renders free-of-charge aid to the students and teachers of higher schools of Minsk.
It renders help free of charge to the students from all higher education institutions and to teachers from secondary schools and to other persons who need this help.
The psychological help service is open not only to the Orthodox, but to representatives from other confessions and to secular people as well, because the spiritual crisis during communist prohibition of religion led to serious spiritual and psychological problems, which have not been overcome till now.
At present this is the only consulting service of psychological help in the Republic of Belarus, which provides Christian-oriented psychological consultation and works in close cooperation with the Church. In case of the successful development of the given project it can become a model for the creation of the system of Christian (pastoral, bible) psychological consultations in Belarus and other countries of the CIS.
