In existence since 1999, the Sunday school has been the most important project of the Centre in the sphere of the gospel and catechism teaching. Its regular and elective courses (on the Church choral singing and the Church arts) are currently attended by more than 200 people of different ages, including 120 children and teenagers and also 80 adults. The lessons are conducted by 15 tutors with specialist theologian education.

Besides spiritual, educational, moral, ethic, and catechism teaching activities, the Sunday school carries out large methodology work: many of the forms of work with the young people developed at the school are used not only in Belarus but also abroad. The textbook for Sunday school is being prepared by our tutors.

In addition to the traditional studies at the Sunday school it has also a youth debate club “Theology Club” with participants consisting of 40 constant members and several dozens of people visiting not less than once a month. It is a genuinely inter-confessional project since it involves not only the Orthodox but also Catholics, representatives of other Christian confessions and denominations and also people without religious affiliation: students and teachers from various universities, businesspeople, engineers, artistic intelligentsia. On these weekly meetings discussions on various theology and ethics problems take place, which are conducted. They always go in easy, friendly and creative atmosphere free from religious intolerance and proselytism. Besides the fruitful meetings the club elaborates new forms of work with the young people.

Each year the Sunday school organizes for its students 5-6 pilgrimages to the sacred places of our homeland.

Not long ago the administration and students of the Sunday school started a new project – a virtual museum “Ecumenical Christianity”. This museum is necessary for the prevention of the ôèëèòèçì heresy – one of the most hard to overcome heresies in the contemporary history of the Church.
