The International Voluntary Association "The Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill " as the ecological office of the Byelorussian Exarchate of Russian Orthodox Church together with a Sunday School of the mentioned Centre will conduct in 2002/2003 the series of the ecological projects and organizes the competition of applications from Orthodox parishes, monasteries of the Minsk Eparchy and orphans' houses (of state and family type) on support of the projects of fruit gardens planting. The Centre can help to one or two applicants - to one in spring and to one in fall each year. As the Centre is rather short in means, it organizes the competition among the applicants.

The applications are accepted till the 1-st of September, 2002.

The solution of a competitive commission will be declared at the end of September, 2002.

This spring it will be realized the planting of fruit garden in female Saint- Presentation in the Temple Skete (village, Smorgon region of Belarus).

At present the Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill has been conducting the development of bicycle paths in a green zone of Minsk and plotting them on a map. It is the second ecological program of Centre directed on making popular of a non-polluting type of transport, contributing to improving of health of people and informal communication among the people.

It is planned, that hereafter, with the help of city authorities it will be possible to equip the the presented above bicycle paths according to minimum necessary standards, making these paths suitable as for walks and for using the bicycles as transport.
