On February 21-22, 2009 in Minsk will be held the International scientific-practical Conference “Religious Studies in post Soviet Union area”, which is conducted at support of Saints Methodius and Cyrill Christian Educational Center on the base of religious studies department of Institute of Theology of Belarus State University. The organizational Committee of the Conference consists also of Philosophy of culture department of Philosophy and Social studies faculty at Belarus State University and of Youth Association of Religious studies students (Kiev, Ukraine).
The aim of the Conference is the integration of scientific activities of religious studies society in countries of CIS, exchange of scientific information, solutions of communicative tasks. Professors and scientists from leading universities of Belarus, Ukraine, Poland and Russia claimed about their participation.
It is planned to discuss a wide range of questions, connected with history and perspectives of religion studies in post Soviet Union area, theoretical problems of religious studies disciplines. A round-table discussion will be dedicated to the theme of theology and religious studies in contemporary world.
