During the days of Christmas Holidays within the framework of the International Voluntary Association "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" the series of cultural - educational and charitable actions has been conducted.

On January, 10, 2003 the IVA "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" has conducted the Christmas Party, at which the annual Christmas premiums for revival of the best traditions of Christian and classical secular education were solemnly awarded. At the Party the speeches were made by the President of the IVA "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" H.E.Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Philaret, Patriarchal Exarch of all Belarus, first vice-president the IVA "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" Mr.Dovgjallo G.A. and the deputy of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Farino Kazimir. At the Party the presentation of a calendar for 2003 "Russian Icon of XVI century: Kingdom and Kingdom of God" was held, published jointly by the Christian Educational Centre and Catholic Publishing House from Milan (Italy). This calendar is one of examples of interchurch cooperation which opens before us a rich cultural heritage of Ancient Russia that will allow to our contemporaries - both the believers, and unbelievers - to see deeper the spiritual roots which were binding force of stable historical development of European peoples.

During the days of Christmas Holidays the International Voluntary Association "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" was engaged in realization not only of cultural, but of charitable actions as well. Youth voluntary group of the International Voluntary Association "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" and management of social programs of the International Voluntary Association "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" have created a series of projects on support of children - disabled, disabled on wheel-chairs, orphans houses, children's hospitals and children's hospice. This activity has been developing within one year already, gradually increasing the scale. Many actions, devoted to Christmas in particular were carried out, one of them is the performances of the Christian puppet theater "Batleika" for children. "Batleika" has visited children's burn centre in the Hospital of First Aid and children's department of 1-st clinical hospital, Belarusian children's hospice, children's orphanage of one of the districts in Minsk, the Belarusian association of the help to children - disabled and disabled youth, a house - boarding school for children - disabled in Ivenetz (Belarus), a house - boarding school for children - disabled in Minsk.

Youth voluntary group of the International Voluntary Association "Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" has decided to congratulate disabled on wheel-chairs not only with Christmas gifts, but also making Christmas concert for them, bringing joy to the members of "Belarusian Association of disabled on wheel-chairs", having visited 25 apartments with this concert. In the words of gratitude of the disabled there were tristy shades, they sad that for many years already there was no songs in their houses and now their houses are again filled with pleasure.
